Product Description The virtually indestructible Surefire Pen has been built with the same high standards, flawless materials, and no-compromise philosophy that's integrel to all Surefire products. Its ergonomic triangular shape makes it comfortable to hold and its also been optimally balanced for effortless writing. The surefire pen has earned the right to be stamped with the Surefire name-right there on its nearly unbendable pocket clip.

| Customer Reviews: worth the price February 13, 2009 William White (memphis tn usa) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a high quality pen, similar to surefire's flashlights. Twist the upper half of the pen and the ball point twists out the end. There is an adjuster inside the upper part of the pen which will change how much of the pen refill is twisted out, which also allows different sized and types of refills.
A Great Christmas Surprise June 4, 2010 AllHis (Colorado) My husband was so surprised to get this pen for Christmas last year. It's one of those really expensive gadgets that probably isn't worth the money unless you find yourself in a sinking car and need to get out fast.. or maybe the cop that pulled you over needs a pen to write your traffic citation.. (on second thought.. hide the pen in that case.)
That being said, he loves the pen. It goes everywhere with him (including overseas) and he uses it often. It writes very nicely. It's a bit bulky for my child-sized chic hand, but fits well in his strong, man-sized hunk hand.
Hopefully we'll never need the glass breaking function of the pen.. but we've definitely thought about trying it out, just for fun...
Class Writing Instrument July 25, 2008 ZoomDoc (La Canada, CA United States) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I'm putting this pen in the same class as a Mont Blanc but without the exquisite styling. This IS a high quality pen.
It can accept most standard refill cartridges so you're not stuck with one company or one size. The thing is built like a tank. This is a lifetime pen. The price is more than justified. Why only 4 stars? The pen is very wide and makes everyday use for long periods difficult. Slim it down just a little bit Surefire and then I'll give it the 5 stars it deserves. The price is on the low end for a quality writing instruments. I like the Cross and Waterman offerings as well but this is better.
My favorite pen February 25, 2010 Robert W. Fiedor Surefire's pen is a pleasure to write with though I do have a couple improvements I would suggest.
1. Narrow down the barrel a bit.
2. Adjuster for alternate ink cartridges could be stiffer, I find my self adjusting mine every couple days when I realize the protruding ink tip is slowly slipping into the barrel. I don't find this to be that big a deal, b/c when the window-breaker cap is removed the pocket clip can be used as a screwdriver to readjust the screw that controls the cartridge extention.
3. The cartridge extention needs to be able to extend out further. When I purchased this pen I expected to be able to fill it with "rite in the rain" cartridges. These cartriges are too short, luckily I love the "easyFLOW 9000" cartridge that came with the pen and fully intend to order replacements.
The small tweaks I listed above would earn the pen five stars, but realize (in my opinion) this is is a great pen.
Nice but pricey July 23, 2008 Douglas (Tustin, US, Canada) 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Very nice pen, created in the image of Surefire's wonderful flashlights. Best feature is the ability to adjust the barrel to accommodate any size refill cartridge. Worst feature is price, which is as high as the flashlights, but without the electronics.
