| Customer Reviews: Great pens and you can embellish them very easily! November 4, 2009 Bladen's Mommy (Memphis, TN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased these pens after seeing an instructional video on how to put scrapbook paper inside them, actually wrapped around the ink tube. When I got them I realized how well they write and actually have ordered more since then. If you want to add your own scrapbook paper to them you should cut a piece that is 1" x 3 1/4" then roll it tightly around the ink tube with out folding it, but really breaking down the fibers in the paper. Once you have it rolled tightly, stick the paper down in the pen barrel and position it so that the seam is at one of the beveled edges on the back. Insert your ink tube and you're ready to go. You can look up the video on youtube if you want to see how to do it. I recommend these pens even if you aren't planning on embelishing them. They are just great pens and reasonably priced too. I hope this helps=)
Perfect for commenting and grading July 5, 2009 nclovely1 (Raleigh, NC USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm an English instructor and also an editor, and I've used these pens --for grading my students' papers and for making comments and revisions on clients' papers -- since 1992. The deep-violet-colored ink makes my comments stand out, but it is less daunting and traumatic to the reader than the traditional red pen. As far as quality and durability, these pens are great. They are comfortable; they have a good grip and "heft" so you don't have to press down or work hard to write solidly. I can write for a long time without hand cramps, which tends not to be the case with thinner pens, such as traditional Bic and Cross. The pens write smoothly; they don't skip. The ink lasts a long time. The pens are inexpensive, too -- so it doesn't "hurt" when you lose one. I highly recommend these pens to anyone who does a lot of handwriting or copy mark-up.
Hard to find item October 14, 2009 S. Pietronave (Pleasanton,CA) In my office everyone knows that I have QC'd the paperwork because it is signed with this purple ink. It stands out but is not BRIGHT like the red or violet ink pens.
They do not smudge or bleed. Very comfortable grip for someone who writes all day.
The only pens I use April 21, 2010 Sharon (Sunshine State) I haven't learned to use the rating system
that is in use but I definitely give these
pens a 5 star Plus!
I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity)
and have a difficult time finding writing
materials. For whatever reason, I have no
reactions to these pens.
I've been using them for years after trying
an endless variety of brands and kinds. They
come in a huge amount of colors which for
someone who can't do the kind of art I used to
do is so much fun. Plus, I love to color-code
things.:)
I use the black ones for general writing, but the
violet is my true favorite for writing, along with
the green. And they do not smudge!
Note that the boxes of a dozen and the box of multi-
colored from Amazon are slightly different shades and
even some totally different colors. Also fun.
I do wish that Amazon also carried the other box with
mixed colors that I usually get from my local office
supply store. That mix are the colors that you can
get by the dozen at Amazon, which I prefer. Hint. Hint :)
Thank you Amazon for offering this wonderful product.
